Revered in Balinese tradition for ceremonies, sacred architecture, and rituals, Majegau wood is highly valued. Ancient texts ("Lontar") mention its use in invoking ancestors and deities. The trunk symbolizes the divine messenger "Batara Sadasiwa" and is crucial for purification rituals (Manusa Yadnya).Facing scarcity due to theft and illegal logging, large Majegau trees are now protected. Traditionally, it's also used for its medicinal properties, including relieving nausea, treating dermatitis, preventing hypertension, improving urinary tract infections, and reducing fever. It's notably known to aid digestion.Due to its rarity, directly using Majegau wood powder in our incense is challenging. Instead, we utilize fermented water infused with wood chips to capture its equivalent energy.
